Alexander Isak scores in Carabao Cup final against Liverpool

Newcastle United may find themselves in a challenging position this summer as a number of clubs set their sights on securing a move for Alexander Isak.

Merseyside club and Premier League leaders Liverpool are not left out of the race with a contract package "already tabled".

It has been gathered that the Reds are currently reviewing their summer budget which includes contract improvements for players impeding contract extension and also contained an if-contract for Swedish striker Alexander Isak.
The report followed Liverpool's Carabao Cup final defeat to Newcastle where the 25-year-old netted to put the Magpies two goals ahead to clinch a 2-1 victory.

Furthermore, with ongoing uncertainties surrounding Darwin Nunez's position in Arne Slot's team, Isak could serve as a crucial addition to strengthen Liverpool’s firepower and maintain their competitive edge in both domestic and European competitions.

Alexander Isak is among the leading top goalscorer in the Premier League this season and has five assists so far.
