Virgil van Dijk has broken silence over his Liverpool future
Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk has made it clear that he is in no rush to resolve his future at Anfield despite expiring his contract.
The captain revealed that with the final six months of his current deal, there is "no deadline at all" for a new contract.
With Van Dijk able to negotiate with other clubs from next week, he could be involved in a major reshuffle at Liverpool next summer along with teammates Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
But the Dutch defender is keeping a cool head and focusing on the task ahead: "I'll see what happens in the future. I'm completely focused on Leicester City."
The Reds face Leicester City on Boxing Day, sitting top of the table with a game in hand after a fine performance against Tottenham Hotspur.
