What happens after Mohamed Salah's remaining 6 months of Liverpool contract
Sources have told ESPN that Paris Saint-Germain chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi has been in contact with Mohamed Salah's agent Rami Abbas about the Egyptian winger's future for some time.
Salah's 32-year contract with Liverpool expires this summer and he recently said he has not received a formal contract offer from the club. He is "better inside than outside".
Salah has been in excellent form this season, scoring 13 goals in all competitions. Salah scored the second goal from the penalty spot in the 78th minute as Liverpool beat bitter rivals Manchester City 2-0 on Sunday. The win gave Liverpool a nine-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.
After the victory, Salah spoke about the uncertainty of his future for the second time in eight days.
"Honestly it's in my head," he told Sky Sports. "Until now this is the last City game I will play for Liverpool so I was just going to enjoy it. The atmosphere was incredible so I will enjoy every second here. Hopefully we just win the league and will see what will happen."
It is understood that Salah's priority is to stay at Liverpool, where he joined from Roma in 2017. However, with no new contract in place, his camp has been contacted by other clubs.
