Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is ‘open-minded’ about his future at the club after entering the final 12 months of his deal at Anfield.

The Egypt winger has less than a year to run on his three-year deal, which he signed in 2022.

At the time, Salah had interest from abroad but it was in 2023 that the club received a bid of up to £150m for the forward from Saudi Arabia.

The country wanted Salah to be the face of their investment into the Saudi league but Liverpool rejected the bid, which was worth an initial £100m.

Interest from the middle east remains but Liverpool haven’t received any bids for Salah so far this window.

The club fear Salah is running his contract down in order to make a free transfer to Saudi Arabia in 2025.

The Athletic, though, say Salah is ‘open’ to all possibilities and has not ruled out extending his deal at Liverpool.

The 32-year-old believes he can play until the age of 40 and he has reservations over the lack of quality in the Saudi Pro League.

Salah could earn up to £1m-a-week in the middle east, which is a considerable increase on the £300,000-a-week he earns on Merseyside.
