The young Dutch midfielder who is only 19 years old, is said to have fallen down the pecking order at the Allianz under the guidance of Thomas Tuchel.
Liverpool's interest in signing the teenager has been widely reported in recent weeks. According to TZ and Bild, Liverpool chief scout Dave Fallows recently traveled to Germany to obtain detailed information on the young midfielder.
The Reds are said to be keen on strengthening their midfield, and Gravenberch's skillset makes him an attractive prospect. Manchester United has also been linked with the player, with journalist Fabrizio Romano reporting that the club has called Bayern Munich regarding his situation. However, Liverpool seems to be the frontrunner in the race to sign him, with reports suggesting that the club has sent two officials to Germany to explore the possibility of signing the player.
Liverpool's midfield has been an area of concern this summer, with injuries and inconsistent performances affecting the team's results last term. The Merseyside club have already made a move to strengthen the position by signing Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboslai and Wataru Endo following the departure of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.
Gravenberch's signing would add the depth and quality needed, which could help the team compete at the highest level and the depth provided could help the Reds cope with an hectic season ahead.
