Liverpool's chances of top-four success this season are considered paramount by Florent Malouda

Former Chelsea winger Florent Malouda has predicted that Liverpool will be in the top four at the end of the 2023-2024 season.
The Reds attained their first win in the Premier League on Saturday as they overcame the AFC Bournemouth in a 3-1 victory at Anfield.
Chelsea side led by Mauricio Pochettino lost to the West Ham, while Man City overcame Newcastle.
Liverpool traveled to St. James' Park in order to capitalize on their success in the Premier League and Malouda expected the side to return to the Champions League this season.
Liverpool's top four competitors are expected to be Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Chelsea, Brighton and Tottenham Hotspur.
Malouda however doubted Chelsea's chances of making a top 4 finish despite the huge sum of money that has been lavished on signing new players since the beginning of the year by the London club.
The former France international said on Betway: "I think Chelsea will struggle to get in the top-four - but I think they'll still do it. Manchester City are above all teams in the league, then I would pick Liverpool, Newcastle and Chelsea after that.
"It's a transition season for them, but I'd pick them over Man Utd. To make it in the top-four now is very difficult. City will be champions again."
