Jurrien Timber open to Liverpool transfer |
Jurrien Timber has said he'll choose his next club with care after confirming that he will depart Ajax this summer - insisting that the club's ability to competes for trophy would be of importance in his decision.
The 21-year-old has confirmed that he will leave his current employers at the end of the season, with Liverpool among the Premier League clubs believed to be interested in acquiring him.
Timber, who was a part of the Holland's World Cup success as they reached the quarter-finals before being outplayed by the eventual winners Argentina, has admitted that he is unsure of his future position , but has revealed the key factors that will determine his new club.
In an interview with Dutch publication Ziggo Sport, Timber stated: “It’s the same situation for me as last season. When I say I’m leaving, it has to fit. Important is the style of play and playing minutes. Competing for prizes is also important. My favourite country? I dare not say.
“That’s why I’m doing the same as last season. The chance is there, it can happen, but I’m also comfortable here. I’m still young and here everything also suits me. I’m going to watch quietly.”
