Liverpool are targeting three ace midfielders whose contract expire this season
Jude Bellingham is a priority for Liverpool but three midfield players could supplement that for Jurgen Klopp when they are available for free this summer.
Liverpool are keeping tab on two of Chelsea's wantaway midfielders as well as PSG's Adrien Rabiot.
1. Adrien Rabiot
Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot as his contract in Italy expires at the end of this season.
Reports from Italian publishers Gazzetta dello Sport suggest the Reds are exploring the possibility of signing Rabiot on a free when his Serie A contract expires in the summer.
Rabiot joined Juventus in 2019 after leaving Paris Saint-Germain and could be looking at a move to England.
2. Mason Mount
Mount's contract expires in the summer, and Liverpool are keeping a close eye on his situation.
Sources close to the England international have reportedly said a move to Anfield is "very likely" in the summer.
Liverpool will be in the market for new first-team players with Jurgen Klopp looking to re-establish the Reds as title contenders.
Klopp is said to see Mount as an ideal target for a revamped midfield.
3. N'Golo Kante
The France international has been on sidelines with injury since his second game of the season and has yet to play under head coach Graham Potter. However, he has a slate of suitors keen to snap him up should he become available on a free transfer in the summer.
According to Pete O'Rourke, Liverpool are plotting a free transfer for the World cup winner.
O'Rourke said: "It’s a deal they’ve looked at, hoping that they can maybe persuade Kante to leave Chelsea on a free transfer.
"We all know about Liverpool’s need for midfield reinforcements. It looks like it’s going to be a big rebuild job in that engine room for Jurgen Klopp’s side and Kante, with his experience and know-how, is a winner.
