Liverpool put their top-four hopes back on track with a sensational win over their biggest rivals on Sunday evening
Sunday's defeat was United's biggest in the Premier League history and while that in itself pleases Liverpool fans, the way it is presented will be all the more delightful as Jurgen Klopp's side look like the team of the yesteryears.
There have been no such performances this season, with Klopp and his players admitting they have fallen below the standards set in recent years.
But such an achievement is cause for celebration, no matter how the season ends.
Trent Alexander-Arnold did just that, posting a selfie of himself in front of a 'This is Anfield' sign, and a follow-up photo of the 7-0 scoreboard in the 90th minute.
As expected, the post garnered nearly 700,000 likes from enthusiastic supporters within the first hour.
But it was the like from Borussia Dortmund superstar Jude Bellingham that really caught the eye.
The England midfielder is a priority transfer target for Liverpool, and part of the reason the Reds are so keen to finish in the top four is that they risk missing out on Bellingham if they don't.
But the Englishman was clearly pleased with what he saw at Anfield on Sunday as he supported Alexander-Arnold's post on Instagram.
The midfielder is expected to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, with Manchester City and Real Madrid the main contenders his signature.
However, judging by his recent activity, one can say Liverpool now appear to be in the lead.
