Thiago Alcantara is expected to miss a month of Liverpool action with a hip flexor injury
Just when Jurgen Klopp's long injury list seemed to be shrinking, another Liverpool starter is already on the sidelines. Last week, Klopp confirmed that Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino were both close to returning from injury, while Virgil van Dijk stepped up his recovery.
However, it has now been suggested that midfielder Thiago Alcantara could be on sidelines for up to four weeks after sustaining a hip flexor injury.
Klopp revealed on Friday that the Spaniard had missed training but did not disclose the injury.
But it has now been confirmed that he could be out for a long period of time, which will almost certainly include the two legs of the Champions League round of 16 tie against Real Madrid.
