Jurgen Klopp has acknowledged that he could one day assume the role of Germany's national team manager
Klopp has been linked with the German managerial role in the past, this coincided with a series of disappointing performances at international tournaments for the German national team.
After winning the 2014 World Cup, Germany failed to advance past the group stage of the 2018 and 2022 tournaments and were eliminated from the Euro 2020 tournament in the Round of 16 by England.
Rumors about Klopp's future on Merseyside were quashed in April after he signed a contract extension that will keep him on the books of Liverpool until 2026. This pleased the majority of supporters.
Discussing the possibility of replacing current Germany boss Hansi Flick, Klopp told Bild: "It's not completely out of the question that I'll be the national coach at some point. But it has to fit. And so far it hasn't. And if I end the contract in Liverpool, then nothing will definitely be done for a year."
