Darwin Nunez has come under criticism from a former Reds after what he did against Milan in Dubai
Nunez celebrates his goal against AC Milan at Dubai |
Nunez was on the scoresheet twice for the Reds against AC Milan in the Dubai Super Cup on Friday. What appeared to be a stellar performance from the Uruguayan, coming back from a disappointing World Cup has been criticised by former Liverpool forward Neil Mellor after the Reds' record signing joined his teammates in the shootouts where he scored what Mellor described as a 'very very strange penalty kick'.
“Nobody takes a pen like Darwin’s. It’s very, very strange," He told Liverpoolfc.com.
"It’s just as bad a pen as it is a save by the keeper, but look sometimes you need a bit of luck."
