Luis Suarez has reached a "verbal agreement" to join Gremio on a two-year contract, according to reports
Suarez spent a few months with his hometown club Nacional in order to regain fitness prior to Uruguay's participation in the World Cup.
The Uruguayan team failed to advance to the knockout stage, instead finishing second to South Korea.
Suarez contract will expire at the end of the year, and it's been reported that the former Liverpool ace has already agreed to a verbal agreement with Brazilian club Gremio.
Following the report some Liverpool fans suggest he should have returned to the Reds as a free agent while other accepted "too old."
Argentine journalist Cesar Luis Merlo wrote on Twitter: "Gremio and Luis Suárez reached a verbal agreement.Now the lawyers for the club and the footballer are working and, if everything is in accordance with what was discussed, he will sign a contract for two seasons. He will be the highest paid player on the team."
