Brazilian soccer legend Pele, considered one of the greatest players of all time, has passed away at the age of 82
Pele, the only player to win three World Cups in football history, died on September 5th at the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo following a battle with cancer; he became a legendary figure in the game after winning the tournament in 1958 as a 17-year-old, scoring twice in the final to defeat hosts Sweden.
The legendary striker who is Brazil's all-time leading scorer with 77 goals in 92 matches, was born Edson Arantes do Nascimento, to a poor family in Sao Paulo.
He won a treble of World Cups, the 1958, 1962 and 1970 World Cups with Brazil.
