Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani is not considering a bid for Liverpool, according to reports in his home country
The Mirror published a report on Sunday that Ambani had approached Liverpool owner Fenway Sports Group to acquire her stake and take over the Reds.
Ambani is ranked the 8th richest person in the world, with an estimated fortune of about £90 billion.
It is understood that the Indian billionaire had failed an attempt to buy the club back in 2009.
And a report from the Mirror says the 65-year-old has reignited his interest for the club purchase after the owners disclosed a possible outright sale last week.
Now ABP News, India's media outlet, claimed that a representative of Ambani's Mumbai-based company, Reliance Industries, called Mirror's report "fake" and that Ambani is not in the race.
Ambani, who already has a sports ownership interest through Reliance Industries' stake in Indian Premier League cricket team Mumbai Indians, is the latest in a string of names linked to a bid for the Reds.
