Thuram who's an utility attacking player has scored 10 goals in 15 Bundesliga appearances so far this season.
Spanish outlet Nacional claim Jurgen Klopp believes in the 25-year-old and deemed him the candidate to bolster the Reds attack.
Thuram's contract expires in June next year, so a deal has been discussed to bring him to Anfield on the cheap in January. He was not included in the 26-man France squad that traveled to Qatar for the World Cup despite his recent form.
And that would also make his signature affordable for a bargain price in two months time.
