Liverpool told to sign Chelsea's midfield duo

Former Reds goalkeeper Brad Friedel believes two Chelsea midfielders would be good additions to Jurgen Klopp squad

Friedel believes Liverpool should sign N'Golo Kante and Mason Mount from Chelsea in their bid to strengthen Jurgen Klopp's midfield in the short run.

Despite ongoing contract negotiations with Chelsea, Liverpool are interested in signing Mount from England and as a free agent next summer, Kante would be an attractive option for any team.

Friedel believes Kante would be a great addition to the team if Liverpool can't negotiate deals for either Frenkie De Jong or Jude Bellingham.

He told Betway: "Mount is an exceptional player and the only time it would be a no brainer for Klopp is if it works financially for Chelsea and Liverpool. The player has to want to make the move and the rumour that Klopp wants him has to be true.

"I think these moves for players, as good as Mount is, only work if everyone is in agreement for it. He's a very good player and he'd be good for a lot of things for Liverpool."
