Liverpool are reportedly pursuing a potential move for Mason Mount as contract talks are put on hold until after the World Cup
According to The Guardian, clubs including Liverpool and Juventus are queuing up for the 23-year-old. It's understood Liverpool are looking to strengthen their midfield as their current crop of players in that position ages.
With the World Cup due to take place this weekend, Chelsea and Mount have agreed to put negotiations on hold until the end of the World tournament. Mount's current contract expires in the summer of 2024, meaning only 18 months. No progress has been made since the summer where the London club first thought they would get a deal over the line.
