Kylian Mbappe January exit rumours denied |
Paris Saint-Germain sporting adviser Luis Campos has denied rumours that Kylian Mbappe wants to leave the club , with Liverpool being linked.
Spanish news outlet Marca reports that Mbappe feels "betrayed" by Paris Saint-Germain and wants to leave the club in the January transfer window. The report goes a step further, claiming that Parisien club will only sell the France international to one club and that is Liverpool.
The publication also claims that Paris Saint-Germain have agreed to let Mbappe leave in the summer, but will not let him join European champions Real Madrid until he finally signs a new contract. It says Mbappe's relationship with Paris Saint-Germain is "completely broken" and that a move to Liverpool "may be the only option" given their refusal to let their star move to Madrid.
However, despite the rumours, Campos has questioned their accuracy and insists Mbappe is happy with PSG. The 58-year-old was named the French club's sports agent in the summer, shortly after Mbappe signed his lucrative new contract.
Campos told French news outlet RMC Sport: "I was very surprised because I was with Kylian Mbappe all day and he didn't tells me or the president about leaving in January."
“We have to be very clear that this isn’t a declaration – it is news that has come out a few hours before a very important match against Benfica.
“As for me, I have a three year contract at PSG and I am very happy to be here, in this place – and I work everyday so that I can fulfil my ambitions at the end of my contract.”
