Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has confirmed trio injury ahead of Anfield trip
Erling Haaland confirmed fit to play against Liverpool |
Guardiola has confirmed Calvin Phillips, John Stones and Kyle Walker will not be available for Sunday's Premier League clash with Liverpool - but says Erling Haaland will be ready.
City travel to Anfield to extend their league unbeaten run to 10 games and continue to rub salt in the Reds' wounds, with Jurgen Klopp's side already eighth in the table and 13 points behind the visitors.
There was speculation that Haaland could be injured after the Norwegian was knocked out by Southampton and missed the midweek Champions League clash with Copenhagen, but Guaridola admits three first-team players will be sidelined and the City boss believes Haaland is fit and running.
"All of them will be out," he told the press.
"John I think will be back I don't know when but maybe one week, ten days. Kalvin is getting better and is improving a lot. Kyle is still out.
“He was tired [Haaland], and Bernardo and others as well, but they feel good and are ready for Sunday.”
