Tsimikas delivered a cross to Nunez to head in the only goal that earned Liverpool a 1-0 Premier League win over West Ham at Anfield on Wednesday night.
It was the Nunez's first Anfield goal since his potential £85m transfer from Benfica in the summer, having scored five in 12 appearances this season.
The Uruguayan also hits the post and forced Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski to make a fine save, with both shots coming off his left foot.
Tsimikas, who provided the assist which is his fifth of the season, believes Nunes has more to come.
"He's always there," said the Greek left-back. "He can score with the left, with the right, with the head, he's a goal machine. He needs confidence, it is coming and I hope for him he scores a lot more goals and gives us more wins, because for us he is a very, very important player.
"It was a very good moment for me, especially because it was a cross for Darwin because I wanted to assist him. Every day I work to do better crosses and give better performances.
"I'm very, very happy for him also because I know he's been wanting to score. Obviously he will score more, but hopefully he will keep his energy and goals for the next games."
On the entire team performance, Tsimikas said: "It was a very, very tough game against a tough opponent.
"They fought a lot for the result. If we want to change something this season, we have to win games and we did exactly that.
"At the end it was difficult because they pressed us a lot but the most important thing is the three points. We are in good shape, we want to bounce back, and the win against Manchester City was a very important step for us. But every game is different."
