Both stars were forced off with injuries in Liverpool's 3-2 loss to Arsenal on Sunday

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Luis Diaz suffered injuries in Arsenal clash

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Luis Diaz will need to have their respective injuries scanned following Sunday's 3-2 win over Arsenal.

When asked about the pair after the game, the Reds manager initially said "doesn't look good".

Diaz was brought out for 42 minutes in the first half due to a knee injury, while Alexander-Arnold at half-time was replaced hit after a  hit to his ankle.

Jurgen Klopp has explained that both players will now need to be checked over the next few days, confirming another fresh injury for the Reds as they prepare to play Rangers and Manchester City later this week.

Klopp said in his post-match press conference: “Lucho we had to change before [half-time]. [It's] something with the knee, not good.
“He will have a scan and then we will know more. I have no idea about the extent and then on top of that Trent is bad as well with the ankle.
“[He] twisted the ankle, not good. Trent never, in seven years, went off if he could have played on. He was in too much pain, it started swelling immediately, so we will have to see.”
