Journalist Guillem Balague has dismissed claims that Arthur Melo could have his loan spell cut short by Liverpool
Arthur joined Liverpool on a season long loan this summer. The Reds moved to land the 20-year-old as an emergency signing amid their midfield difficulties.
Since joining the Anfield club Arthur has only featured ones coming as a substitute and a report going viral has indicated that the Brazilian hasn't been impressive in training - why Jurgen Klopp is looking at terminating his loan spell before February.
But renowned journalist Guillem Balague has jumped to defence of the former Barcelona midfielder rubbished such claims.
Balague wrote on Twitter: "Liverpool have not decided to extend the loan or buy Arthur but have no intention to send him back in January. They are still assessing him. In fact the coaching staff congratulated him on his understanding of the system and his quality." @GuillemBalague
