BBC Sport pundit Garth Crooks has claimed Liverpool are missing Sadio Mane as they continue to adjust to life without the now Bayern Munich man
Luis Diaz is viewed by many as Mane's long-term replacement and was on the scoresheet for the Reds last night courtesy of a spectacular finish.
Mane joined Bayern Munich last month after which Liverpool moved swiftly to sign Darwin Nunez who was red carded in their 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace on Monday evening.
Despite Luis Diaz scoring for the Reds on Monday night, Crooks is convinced Liverpool continue to look lost without their former Senegalese talisman. Writing in his BBC column , he said: "It was always going to take something a bit special to cancel out Palace's goal, but Diaz provided just that.
"Whether he can replace the potency, or match the goals, that Sadio Mane produced for Liverpool over the years remains to be seen. But Liverpool are definitely missing Mane."
