Former Liverpool transfer guru Michael Edwards has reportedly rejected leading Chelsea's transfer team
The Athletic claims the 43-year-old was a leading target to takeover the role at Stamford Bridge under their new ownership, but now, they will 'have to look elsewhere'.
Edwards left his position at Liverpool at the end of last season in order to take some time out and was succeeded by Julian Ward.
Despite rumours linking him to both Chelsea and Man United this summer, it appears he's 'informed' clubs taking on a new role is not currently on the cards.
