The former Reds defender, who retired from professional football earlier this year, is the team's new face in the upcoming clash the of Northern Legends.
Following a 3-1 win at Old Trafford in May, the LFC Legends will host their opponents at Anfield on Saturday 24 September.
Skrtel who made 320 appearances for the club between 2008 and 2016 - returned to Liverpool with Fabio Aurelio, Jerzy Dudek, Steve McManaman and Momo Sissoko and announced Sir Kenny Dalglish's squad.
The game is strictly by the official charity, the LFC Foundation, in conjunction with the Forever Reds, the official association of former LFC players.
100% of the proceeds from this special event will support the LFC Foundation's community programmes, including Forever Reds, Cash for Kids and IntoUniversity.
Skrtel has said ahead of the tie: “I’m looking forward to returning to Anfield and supporting LFC Foundation and Forever Reds. See you soon"
