Liverpool will look to bounce back from their awful start to the new season when they host Bournemouth in the Premier League today
Liverpool needs to win at 3pm today against Bournemouth at Anfield. They have conceded the worst start to a season in over a decade this season.
The Reds have only collected two points out of nine available. This can be blamed on the injury problem among their players, as well as the suspension of Darwin Nunez.
Prediction
Bournemouth News
Despite Bournemouth's optimism, Liverpool's performance could improve much for this match.
The last season's Premier League runners up cannot afford to extend their campaign with another poor result and we expect the Anfield club to claim their first Premier League win of the season today.
Bournemouth lost to Manchester City (4-0) and Arsenal (3-0) after beating Aston Villa 2-0 in their opening game. They are in a tough situation, facing a Liverpool side hungry for their first win.
Speaking ahead of the match, the Cherries boss Scott Parker said: "I am sure they will be the first to know it has not gone how they wanted it to go but we're playing against a world-class team, a well-coached team, an exceptional manager and against a team who are probably looking for a reaction.
"This [ Anfield ] is one of the hardest places to go, Anfield, and even more so in the current situation it could be very difficult.
"As always it is a challenge for us to face and we need to try and get something out of this game."
Liverpool news
Jurgen Klopp's side suffered a painful defeat to Manchester United last weekend ties, they only have two points from their last three matches, each stolen from Fulham and Crystal Palace.
Fans of the elite club are worried about the poor situation of the players so far, including poor form and injuries, and suggestions have been aired about bringing new players from the market before the end of the summer transfer window.
Klopp responding to this on his press conference ahead of today's game said: "You can imagine we are working constantly on these kind of things.
"We spoke about reasons why sometimes it is not happening, sometimes too expensive, sometimes not the right player. Situations change, but one thing stays important, it needs to be the right player.
"We are working, but we will see if something will happen or not. I don’t know. It has to be the right player. Having injuries doesn't change that. We have to be 100 per cent convinced."
On player's availability he said: “This weekend probably not but after that Joel, Curtis, Thiago is not too far away, Diogo is getting closer, Caoimhin will be in training, I think, early next week as well."
