Important transfer update from Jurgen Klopp ahead of transfer deadline

Liverpool are expected to do one last business in the market before the transfer window closes next week

Ahead of next Thursday’s transfer deadline, Jurgen Klopp has stated that Liverpool are constantly working on their options in the transfer market.

The manager says they will only pursue a deal for a midfielder if they are 100% sure the player is the right long-term fit at the right price.

Klopp is currently sweating over the fitness of Thiago, Curtis Jones, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita due to injuries in his midfield department.

But there is hope for Reds fans as the Liverpool manager said  he and his team are constantly working on signing new players when ask about the possibility of bringing one more player from the market.

"You can imagine we are working constantly on these kind of things, Klopp said.

"We spoke about reasons why sometimes it is not happening, sometimes too expensive, sometimes not the right player. Situations change, but one thing stays important, it needs to be the right player.

"We are working, but we will see if something will happen or not. I don’t know. It has to be the right player. Having injuries doesn't change that. We have to be 100 per cent convinced."

It will be the second time Liverpool didn't win any of their first four league games since the First World War if they fail to beat Bournemouth on Saturday.

The Reds will be without Joel Matip, Curtis Jones and Caoimhin Kelleher for the Saturday fixture as the injured stars are only expected to return to full training next week.
