Diogo Jota has not featured since the Reds travelled to Thailand for their preseason opener against Manchester United
Just recently, Jurgen Klopp announced that several of his injured players were close to returning. Jota will return to training before the end of the week, and Thiago Alcantara won't be far behind.
Klopp gave an injury update during his latest pre-match press conference at Liverpool and it seems that the Reds injury crisis is slowly coming to an end. The team suffered many injuries at the beginning of the season; however, Joel Matip and Curtis Jones participated in training Monday.
Speaking to the press ahead of Newcastle United clash : "I think Diogo can train from Thursday on," he told reporters at his latest pre-match press conference. "Thiago I think, slightly later. We'll see.
"Calvin (Ramsay) is getting closer. Caoimhin Kelleher I saw walking outside for goalkeeper training. So there is light at the end of the tunnel, definitely."
