Liverpool record their first Premier League win this season with a jaw-dropping thumping of AFC Bournemouth
Liverpool players celebrate goals during their 9-0 demolition of Bournemouth |
It's been an underwhelming start for the Reds, with two draws and one lost from three leaving Jurgen Klopp's side in the bottom half of the table. Liverpool's last outing saw them beaten by bitter rivals Manchester United.
However, the wounded Red bounced back today as they unleashed a total demolition against Scott Parker's side.
The newly promoted Premier League club suffered in the hands of the fierce Reds as Luis Diaz, Harvey Elliott, Trent-Alexander-Arnold, Roberto Firmino, Virgil van Dijk and Fabio Carvalho were all on scoresheet.
It's a terrible defeat for the Cherries who've only won one of their last three Premier League games.
Jurgen Klopp's men were totally ruthless on their win this afternoon and the Liverpool manager will hope his side take the momentum to their next fixture.
Liverpool got best of their opponent without the availability of key player like Thiago, Joel Matip, Darwin Nunez and Naby Keita.
They now look ahead to the next one coming against Newcastle United next mid-week. Shalom!
