Darwin Nunez scores four times on his goal scoring debut for Liverpool |
Darwin Nunez has opened his goalscoring campaign with the Reds, scoring four times on his first showpiece where he found the back of the net.
After plenty of criticism from rival fans following his debut where Liverpool lost 4-0 to Manchester United, the Uruguayan striker now has a strength to hold on to for the rest of the Reds fixtures.
Nunez extended Mohamed Salah's eighth-minute opener in a 5-0 pre-season thrashing, scoring from the spot following a foul on Luis Diaz in the penalty area, three other goals came in from the Uruguayan in the 51, 68, and 90 minutes respectively.
The former Benfica man, who moved to Anfield earlier this summer, came into the game from the bench in the second 45 minutes with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp opting to field a strong-looking starting line-up as he continued preparations ahead of the new campaign.
