Carney Chukwuemeka has reportedly rejected a contract extension with Aston Villa, opening the door wide for a possible transfer to Liverpool
According to Telegraph reporter Mike McGrath, the Nigeria national has turned down a new proposal from the Midland club and is showing 'no signs' of staying put.
McGrath Tweeted: "Carney Chukwuemeka has rejected #AVFC contract extension and no sign of agreement. He can seal pre-contract with another club in January and leave for around £400,000 next summer, which many would explore in his situation. Clubs expected to bid before that."
Chukwuemeka is linked with Liverpool this summer and the Reds could snap him up for a token with only a year left on his contract.
The 18-yea-old made 16 appearances for the Steven Gerrard's Villans last season providing one assist.
