Liverpool told where to improve ahead of next season

The Reds are expected to be in the market for one or more signings this summer

Declan Rice

The Merseyside club came up short in their Premier League and Champions League title bid this season.

Speaking to talkSPORT former Anfield midfielder Danny  Murphy said about the Reds' expected transfer dealings following their shocking season setbacks: "I don't think they need to go heavy on forward players, they’ve got Jota - who's shown his worth in terms of goals - I think Firmino will stay another year but they will have to sign someone if Firmino goes."

He added: "I think I would go all in for [Declan] Rice or Phillips. English, hungry, someone you know is going to be around for a long time, gets in, can come in, hits the ground running."
