Fabinho injured at Villa Park |
Liverpool secured a narrow 2-1 victory against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Tuesday night. Goals from Joel Matip and Sadio Mane cancelled and put behind Douglas Luiz opener at the early stages of the game.
The Reds were levelled at first half before Fabinho was replaced by Jordan Henderson in the 30th minutes after the Brazilian appeared to be hobbling on the pitch.
Speaking after the match Jurgen Klopp admitted the Reds will need to wait for further assessment on the midfielder's setback.
The Reds boss said: "He is quite positive but I’m not sure what I can make of that, to be honest. We will see.
"I think the rest came through without problems. Robbo was not in the squad today because I wanted to give him just a rest at home and bring another striker into the squad if we needed, that's it.
"Apart from that, we should be fine."
