Mohamed Salah has moved to clarify the comments he made following Liverpool's 4-0 thrashing of Manchester United
Speaking following the victory at Anfield, Salah gave his thoughts on his side's dominance over United this season. Liverpool have beaten United 9-0 across two Premier League fixtures.
Luis Diaz fired Jurgen Klopp's side ahead before Salah made it 2-0 just before half-time. Sadio Mane then added a third before Salah struck again five minutes from time.
And speaking post-match, Salah was accused of taking aim at United’s midfield by claiming they made it easy for the Reds during the game.
"In midfield, they make our life easier. We have a clean sheet here and there,” he told Sky Sports. “Once we get the first goal, we want the second and the third. It was a top performance by us and hopefully, we continue."
"I meant our midfield, and our defence, make it easy for us. I was not talking about the Manchester United players whom I respect," he wrote on Twitter.
