Cristiano Ronaldo shared the tragic news that his baby son has died
In a joint statement from both him and his partner Georgina Rodriguez, he said the baby's passing "is the greatest pain that any parents can feel". A post on Instagram on Monday said: "It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away.
"It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.
"We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support. Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you." The couple also asked for privacy at this "very difficult time".
The Manchester United player announced he and Georgina were expecting twins back in October 2021. Ronaldo is already dad to four kids: twins Eva Maria and Mateo, 4, daughter Alana Martina, 4, and son Cristiano Jr., 11.
In another news earlier, Bruno Fernandes was involved in a car crash on Monday morning. Although, the Manchester United star is said to be unharmed and will train with his team-mates later ahead of their trip to Anfield to take on Liverpool on Tuesday night.
