Salah was forced off the pitch during Liverpool's 2-0 win over Brighton
Jurgen Klopp has played down fears of a serious injury for Mohamed Salah after the Liverpool forward reached another goalscoring landmark.
Salah reached 20 Premier League goals for the fourth time in five seasons when scoring just after the hour from the spot to seal a 2-0 win for the Reds at Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
The Egyptian was then forced off through injury a few moments later before immediately hobbling down the tunnel.
Liverpool will assess the issue back on Merseyside ahead of Wednesday’s Premier League trip to Arsenal.
Klopp, though, has explained Salah does not regard the problem as a major concern.
"He got blocked before the penalty already when he shot the ball," said the Reds boss. “He overstretched his foot slightly.
"He felt it a little bit higher than the knee. He is not concerned, not sure what that means exactly.
"We all know Mo is not often injured and I hope it stays like this.
"He thinks it will be fine, but he felt something. You could see he couldn’t walk properly.
"We need further assessment for sure."
