Liverpool in talks to book Fabio Carvalho deal ahead of summer

Liverpool are reportedly hopeful they secure Fulham's Fabio Carvalho agreement before the end of the transfer window

The Reds are preparing to strike yet another deal following the imminent conclusion of the transfer of Luis Diaz.

According to a close source, the Merseysiders are in advance talks to seal an agreement that would allow Fulham talent Fabio Carvalho move to Anfield in the summer.

Carvalho has been on Liverpool's radar for a while, but the Portugal-born England starlet will not be moving to Anfield in January.

Cottagers manager Marco Silva made it know while issuing an update to supporters about the 19-year-old on Friday.

"Fabio will be with us until the end of the season," Silva said, adding that "I would like to see him here for more years.

"From day one I have been trying to keep him. It is not a surprise that clubs are interested in Fabio. We are talking about a young player with big talent.

"The situation is not easy because he is in the last year of his contract, but that is the reality. It is out of our plans for him to leave the club in this window."

Carvalho, who can play as an attacking midfielder and wing player has scored eight from 18 games for Fulham this term.
