The first leg of Liverpool's Carabao Cup semi-final tie with Arsenal has been postponed
Liverpool submitted an application to have the game postponed due to a severe Covid outbreak at the club's AXA Training Centre.
The Merseyside club confirmed today that they have temporarily shut their training ground due to the growing Covid outbreak.
Pep Lijnders is the latest to return a suspected positive test and is now in isolation.
The match at Anfield on Thursday January 13 will now be the first leg of the tie, with the second-leg to take place at the Emirates on Thursday January 20.
Initially, the first leg of the semi-final clash was scheduled for Thursday January 6 at the Emirates stadium.
