Liverpool have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Luis Diaz from Porto

According to a close  source the Reds have agreed a £57m deal with Porto to land the Colombian after reaching a contract term with the player.

Diaz has frequently been linked with a move to Liverpool as he continues to impress for his Portuguese employers.

Jornal de Notícias earlier reported that Porto would demand a fee close to €80 million, the release clause of the winger if they are to receive an approach in January.

And now the Reds will fork out £57m, 86 percent of the earlier reported asking price and Diaz is expected to arrive Merseyside for his Liverpool medical in the first week of January.

With Liverpool losing both Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in January to their national sides, reinforcements will be needed in the Reds attack.

And Klopp is not demurring that fact after giving his side the go ahead to hunt for immediate replacements.
