Kaide Gordon has been handed his first Liverpool professional contract after impressive start
The Academy prospect turned 17-years-old on Tuesday, the age at which clubs are able to legally offer such a deal.
Gordon, who joined the Reds from Championship side Derby County in February for a fee that could rise to £3million, has made an instant impact since arriving at the club.
Initially involved with the under-18s earlier this year, he has since made the jump to Barry Lewtas' under-23s side.
The teenager caught the eye of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp when part of a group of Academy players who trained with the senior squad during pre-season, and featured in friendlies including the Anfield win over Osasuna and 4-3 defeat to Hertha Berlin.
Gordon made his senior debut for the club when selected to start in last month's Carabao Cup victory at Norwich City, becoming the fifth-youngest player to feature in the Liverpool first-team in the process (16 years and 351 days).
