Liverpool made a move to bring talented youngster Ansu Fati to Anfield
The 18-yea-old has signed a new contract at Barcelona, with reports suggesting there is a 1billion euros (£842million) release clause in his new deal.
According to the Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool wanted Fati to be a star on Merseyside, and made him a contract offer worth £240,000 a week
It was also claimed that Fati’s agent, Jorge Mendes, felt that remaining in Spain was the better option for the left-winger as opposed to moving to Anfield.
Fati has made four appearances in the La Liga and two in the Champions League for Barcelona so far this season, scoring two goals.
