It's all happening over at the Etihad with Liverpool's title rivals Manchester City appearing closer to sealing a move for Cristiano Ronaldo
The Premier League champions earlier confirmed that Benjamin Mendy has been suspended pending an investigation after being charged by police.
Now according to the Mirror, the Citizens have agreed terms with former United ace Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of a potentially sensational Premier League return.
The report states: "Cristiano Ronaldo has edged closer to a stunning return to the Premier League, with Manchester City reportedly agreeing terms with the Juventus star.
The Portuguese forward has been linked with a move all summer, with Juve keen to get his mammoth salary off their wage bill.
And now it has emerged that City are understood to have agreed personal terms with the 36-year-old, who earned hero status with fierce rivals Manchester United.
Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes flew into Turin this Thursday to secure his client's Juventus exit and according to Diario AS he is now ready to join the Citizens.
Manchester City are yet to make a formal offer for Ronaldo, but the player and club are said are to have shaken on a deal."
The Telegraph claims City's players have all agreed that they would love to have Ronaldo join and lead the team's attack.
