Barcelona have reportedly denied that there is a £20million clause to be paid to Liverpool if Philippe Coutinho reaches 100 matches for the club
Coutinho swapped Merseyside for Catalonia in January 2018 for £142m but has since struggled to recreate his Anfield form and make himself a regular starter at the Nou Camp.
The Brazilian has still managed to appear in 90 matches for Barca and even made 40 appearances on loan at Bayern Munich in the 2019-20 season before missing 37 games last season.
That was largely down to rupturing his outer meniscus and Coutinho has long been touted as one of the bigger names which the Blaurgana are looking to offload.
According to Mundo Deportivo, club sources have denied the existence of a clause in Coutinho deal which would see £20m paid to Anfield if the 29-year-old makes it to 100 matches - something likely to happen this autumn.
The Spanish outlet claim that no other details of the transfer have been disclosed, while also stating that manager Ronald Koeman would be happy to work with the playmaker if no buyer is found.
