West Ham United have reportedly joined the race to sign Liverpool defender Nathaniel Phillips
The Englishman who stepped forward for the Reds last season in the absence of Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip - now looks further down the pecking order with the trio's return and Ibrahima Konate's arrival.
The Athletic reports: "The Athletic understands that Bayer Leverkusen and West Ham have registered their interest in recent days, joining the likes of Burnley, Brighton and Newcastle United. However, no deal is imminent — underlined by Phillips’ involvement against Mainz"
