Konate officially became a member of Jurgen Klopp 's squad on Thursday July 1
Ibrahima Konate has posted a photo to his Instagram story which suggested the £36million signing was on his way to Liverpool.
The defender became the Reds' first summer signing in May after joining on a permanent deal from RB Leipzig.
The Frenchman penned a five-year deal after the club paid his £36million release clause to the Bundesliga side.
The defender's arrival at Liverpool will add the much-needed reinforcement required after injuries to Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip decimated the club's title defence hopes last season.
And Reds fans were given hope that the French Under-21 international had landed in Merseyside ahead of schedule after he posted a photo at Nice airport yesterday suggesting he was Liverpool-bound.
The 22-year-old had been enjoying a break in the south of France and the photo included a caption saying: "Thank you for this holiday in Cannes big boss."
Konate officially became a member of Jurgen Klopp 's squad on Thursday when the transfer was completed and he is set to link up with the Reds for the first time at the beginning of pre-season training on July 12.
