'I would have been in the Liverpool goal amidst goalkeeping injuries last year ' - Karius speaks on his next move

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has shared an update on his future after completing  a season loan spell at the Bundesliga

The German shot-stopper spent the last three seasons out on loan, on the back of his night to forget in the 2018 Champions League final against Real Madrid .

Karius' most recent loan spell was at Bundesliga side Union Berlin and he is yet to make a decision on what his next step will be this summer.

“You should never exclude anything. Last year I was gone – and I would have been in the Liverpool goal two weeks later due to injuries in the goalkeeping position: But I don’t always want to be dependent on such factors, you don’t want your colleagues to do that either," he told German publication Bild .

"I keep all options open and will make the right decision for myself."
