Florian Neuhaus has told Liverpool his transfer priority as Reds eye summer move
The German international became a target for the Reds as they look to replace recently departed Georginio Wijnaldum.
Wijnaldum left Anfield at the end of last season, before signing for Paris Saint-Germain on a three-year deal earlier this week.
24-year-old Neuhaus is part of Germany’s squad that will play at the Euro 2020 and Liverpool have reportedly prepared scouts to monitor his exploits.
The Borussia Monchengladbach's star goes into the tournament on the back of an impressive campaign in the Bundesliga which saw him score eight times and register as many assists.
German champions Bayern Munich have also shown interest.
But, Neuhaus has suggested he would be open to a move abroad.
"I am a person who likes to dare something. I could very well imagine going abroad. I don't necessarily have to go to Bayern Munich," he admitted recently.
"But I don't necessarily have to leave either, because I'm currently feeling very much at home at Borussia Mönchengladbach."
