The PSG forward has been tentatively linked with a move to Liverpool for the past couple of years
The president of France’s Football Federation (FFF) has urged Kylian Mbappe to stay at Paris Saint-Germain amid rumours of reported interest from Liverpool.
The Reds have been tentatively linked with the 22-year-old for quite some time now, but as things stand they are only rumours rather than anything concrete.
Mbappe’s future is up in the air at the moment with his current deal at PSG having just one more year left to run.
There have been rumblings over a possible extension, but as of now there has been nothing publicly agreed between the two parties over whether he will remain with PSG beyond his current deal.
As well as Liverpool, Real Madrid are the other club supposedly in the race to sign Mbappe, but manager Zinedine Zidane has confirmed that he will step down this summer.
FFF president Noel Le Graet has revealed that he would like Mbappe to remain in the French capital, amid concerns over his contract and rumours linking him with Liverpool.
"I want him to stay in France, and at PSG,'' Le Graet told Le Parisien.
"He is young, and PSG still have many challenges to meet.
"It does not concern me directly, but players of this level, I prefer that they are with us.
"My preference is very clear, and in my opinion, it is even better to stay."
