RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate has emerged as Liverpool first summer signing according to reports
Konate who has establish himself as one of Bundesliga’s most promising centre-halves with impressive performances for RB Leipzig was said to have been added to a five-man transfer shortlist by Liverpool.
The 20-year-old has also attracted interest from several Premier League clubs including Chelsea and Manchester United.
But according to The Guardian, the Reds have won the race to sign the French defender and is expected to switch sides in the upcoming transfer window.
The report says, Premier League champions Liverpool have agreed a £30.5million transfer fee with Leipzig for the player and a five-year contract.
